The latest Stuff Packs are smaller, like the size of Kits. I checked. On my Xbox One/ Xbox Series S, new packs "Home Chef Hustle" & "Crystal Creations", they are only 10.1 MB. A Kit is usually around 10 to 50 MB. They do differ. Also, that Bonus Content you get is about the same size as those Kits. I remember the scale EA gave about Packs and Kits. Expansion Packs are supposed to be "Large", on Xbox they are like 1 to 2 GB. Game Packs are supposed to be "Medium", on Xbox, they are 500 MB or more. Stuff Packs are supposed to be "Small", on Xbox, they are 100 or 150 MB, if not more. And final Kits & Bonus Content, they are "Tiny", on Xbox, they are as small as 10 MB, sometimes more. When I bought Crystal Creations today, I was surprised at how quick it downloaded. I thought it was a glitch, I checked it. And it was 10 MB. I own "all of the packs" and "most of the kits". Home Chef Hustle is 10 MB too. I checked all of the sizes in Manage App on Xbox Series S, it the same for Xbox One S. To make a long story short, We Should Not Be Paying For KITS disguised as STUFF PACKS! Stuff Packs are $9.99, and Kits are $4.99. Whether you play on PC, PS4 or Xbox One, these figures are about the SAME. I've played on PC and PS4, but now its mainly on Xbox One. The Sims 4 is an Awesome game. But please don't over charge us. If it is a STUFF PACK or KIT, please keep your words and follow your own scales and prices. Don't disguise them. 10.1 MB is too small to be a Stuff Pack, just "wait" until you have more content before you release them. Most people won't catch on. Thank you for your time.

Paranormal stuff offered a new lot type with a unique gameplay, a new skill and career plus 3 NPC. Home chef hustle offers 3 appliances and a foodstall. So I'd say it feels smaller. OK, I am comparing it to the most elaborate of all stuff packs, but still I think we reached a maximum with paranormal.The real question is 'does filesize directly relate to the size of a pack?' I mean a pack with a lot of gameplay (a lot of work for coding) can have more impact than a pack with a lot stuff (textures and 3D models) but might not require the same amount of MB. I mostly look at the features of a pack and what they mean for my personal playstyle. The file size of a DLC only matters for space on my hard drive.

The same goes for the most recent two kits, which are 60 and 115 MB in macOS. There's only so much the assets can be reduced, and scripted gameplay is even more difficult to compress. It's even more difficult to believe that multiple packs and kits would all be exactly 10.1 MB. The statistical likelihood seems extremely low that they would be of equal size no matter what that size was. So I stand by my theory that this is simply a reporting error.

@simsplayer818 That is great. I like to go to thesims4.com every now and then, and I catch up on the news and updates. I read all of the articles. And when EA introduced "kits", they provided a scale and description of the different types of packs and the kits. I don't remember it by heart though. The Sims 4 is awesome, I love The Sims 3, and I started with The Sims 2. I'm just hope that it won't be like a bait and switch effect. I love all of the packs and kits. I bought them all. I just didn't buy the build kits yet. I prefer Create A Sim items. So there are no problems. Typically you get what you pay for. I just hope packs don't get smaller and smaller. Most packs in the past have remained about the same.

@angelboi7531I think this latest one looks deceptively small but once you've created everything with it it's actually the biggest amount of content we've got. It's just not there at the start.On console the actual storage of the jewellery items themselves is a slight concern for me as the items worn by the Sim remain as an inventory item while worn. Storing a lot in Sims inventories across multiple households can be a cause of lagging and crashing. So I'm going to keep an eye on that on my Xbox Series X. I haven't looked at the file sizes on my console but that's how I would explain the size of this pack. It's a pack where it's content is created by you and will require more storage as you go along.🎮

@simsplayer818 Thank you for laying that to rest for me. I knew that I wasn't making it up. I just don't want essential packs to get smaller. I am a big fan of the Sims period. The Sims 1 through 4. I'll be playing The Sims 5 too, I just hope it will be on console. But honestly, to tell you the truth. I feel that The Sims 4's life is being stretched out. I'm ready for The Sims 5 on my Xbox Series S. Or at least like some existing games, a Xbox Series S version of The Sims 4. Like Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S or PS4 and PS5 Versions of the same game. They should make on upgrade.

In terms of the actual content itself, the Stuff packs can add quite a bit more to the game when it comes to gameplay. The Bust the Dust Kit unusually for a kit has gameplay but a small amount of content. But Crystal Creations adds a lot for me. I think it compares with Paranormal in that respect. In fact it probably adds more. Especially since you get the majority of the content through the Gemology Skill by being able to produce so many varied creations. I think it's brilliant value although admittedly needed some attention regarding bugs. I looked at it and thought there would be more but then once my Sim started creating items I saw the real value of it.
Edit: I've just learned that we can craft 1000 different items with the Crystal Creations pack...wow that's a lot!

@puzzlezaddict Maybe it is smaller on console. It's 10.1 MB. But its not a big problem, I just hope that packs don't get smaller and cost more. I "love" the game. I have all of the packs, except a few build kits. It may differ on platform to platform. I had though it was a glitch at first. The latest ones are 10.1 MB, and some kits are 10.1 MB. So I guess it might be a console thing. Smaller file sizes.

@atreya33 I think consoles may have smaller file sizes in general. I did take time to look at all of my packs and kits. They do differ. I have no complaints on the content itself. I love The Sims, I always have. Besides a few bugs and glitches here and there, the games are awesome. My only concern is that "am I getting what I pay for"? I own everything. If a stuff pack is the size of a kit, then I will get a little concerned. I hope it wasn't rushed or anything. I don't want this to be a pattern or trend. That's all.

@angelboi7531 I somehow didn't consider if file size could differ between platforms. In any case I agree with you and hope stuff packs don't get smaller content wise.

For me it's the opposite with kits, I tend to gravitate towards build kits. I definitely prefer stuff packs over kits. Kits cost half the money of a stuff pack but don't offer half the content. But I bought a few of the kits and am pleased with the quality of the items.

@puzzlezaddict Oh, not all of my kits are 10.1 MB. Only "some" kits and bonus content is around 10.1 MB. Some of the kits and bonus content is larger. All I am saying is that I noticed Crystal Creations downloaded too quickly, and I thought it was a mistake or glitch. Then I went into manage game on my Xbox. I was very concerned by its file size. I figured it was way too small to be a stuff pack. The stuff pack is fully functional. Its just "tiny". So my Xbox is working. I shared it because I thought was strange. And I don't want future packs to shrink. As a consumer, you don't want next to nothing. So in short, I will be observing the file sizes plus content given. If another Xbox user were present, they could confirm what I saying. Regardless, I am content with the feedback I have gotten thus far. My questions are being answered. Thank you for your time and careful consideration.

@puzzlezaddict I tried to take a screenshot of manage game on Xbox. The Xbox said that I have to be playing a game order to take a screenshot. So I'd just have to wait until other Xbox user gives a response. So its all good. Have a great day.
