I love this idea. Time travel (both Ambitions and Into The Future) and World Adventures were really my top favourites in Sims 3.
I would love era gameplay and replacement options for tech either books/scrolls or magical replacements for occults and/or gods.
Egypt/Greece/Asia would be my choice.
Why I would love gods/goddesses in my game, is because I am already making shifting Norse ones in my game (using Spellcasters as the occult paired with Nobility/Dynasties). Greek/Egyptian/Norse gods are my favourite (use to love Hercules/Xena/Stargate/Supernatural/etc. series).
