It's not just the townies. When my sims age up to be YAs good outfits are rare. The mismatched clothes, the nose rings, the godawful makeup, the gloves with rings on top of them, the sunglasses in the winter or any glasses on a formal or party outfit, are particular peeves of mine.

This seems like a bug. YAs are supposed to keep the CAS they had as teenagers.
