I think one major issue is that so many players have given up on bug reporting or upvoting, so many bug report bugs are just overlooked. So those actually making an effort it is like being salmon trying to swim upstream : /
For every 1 upvote the staff/moderators/devs should assume 10 upvotes, for every 10 upvotes assume 100 upvotes, and if 100+ upvotes assume everyone! XD

It just doesn't work that way though. There are so many reports from players who have been reckless with their mods and CC and claim to have an issue for starters and the forum moderators have to make sure it is a legitimate bug issue and not something just caused by mods. They also have to replicate the bug themselves in most circumstances in their own tests of bug reports and this often results in needing players affected save files. A single up-vote is just that, a single up-vote until other players experience the same issue and can also add an up-vote. I know it is frustrating but I can assure you that the devs are not ignoring issues, they are working as best as they can to fix legitimate issues. Reports with very similar issues will be merged to keep things easy to track.

As a modder I am fully aware of the need to be able to recreate the issue to fix it. As well as assuming that cc/mods are not the issue.

I am one who has 100% given up on reporting any bugs. The reporting process IS NOT and really NEVER HAS BEEN user friendly whatsoever. At least in the decade worth that I have been playing the game and been part of forums about the game. After having a few immersion breaking bugs my game for almost 2 years straight, I quit having any faith in the dev teams. My expectations are so low that my first thought before any patch even is launched is "what will break now." The only mods that I use are ones that fix bugs that the team has not officially fixed. Stopped playing in winter 2023 and attempted playing again in mid 2025 again. I have again stopped playing because the same process is happening. Why is it that a different franchise I play can have close to zero bugs, even with a few game updates but Sims 4 can't even get close to zero bugs? Btw, the both games in each franchise are nearly the same age.
