Urn Gravestone system is incorrect

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:EA-PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Portuguese
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.108.349.1020 DX9
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a good friendship with a another family and wait until one of them dies.
What happens when the bug occurs? You receive a call informing your friend is dead, and nothing else.
What do you expect to see? Several things... First, entering the profile of the deceased Sim should show where the gravestone/urn is located (see picture below). Second, if I resurrect the dead Sim (via book, magic, potion, etc.), the Sim will be "homeless" and I can't even find them in the gallery or in Family Manager to add them back to their original family (BTW, many Sims can't be edited in these environments). Alternatively, each world could have a cemetery (a default location that receives each urn when a Sim dies in that world... want the urn? Go there). Third, allow us to edit dead Sims (who are still connected to their gravestones).
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No, never
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Its this way since ever

  • @thiagodcf That's weird. You are correct in thinking that there should be more info provided when a sim you have a good relationship with, dies.
First, the obvious : are you sure you have checked all places for this info? Have you checked the deceased sim's biography etc?
If you have and it's still not there, try repairing your game. To do this, go to The Sims 4 in the EA app and next to the play button, there should be a button that says "Manage". Click on it and then there should be an option to repair your game. This will restart the EA app and hopefully fix your game.
If it doesn't, you could also try clearing the EA app cache. If you have several packs downloaded, there may be a lot of work for EA to do to support all your packs, and therefore errors may occur on a frequent basis (nothing serious, just small things every now and then). When these occur, it's best to clear the EA app cache to relieve some old data off of EA. All data is still saved, it's just stored in your folders. To clear your cache, click on the three lines in the top left corner of the EA app. Choose "Help" and then click "Clear Cache". Once again, this will restart your EA app and hopefully fix your game.

    Hope this helps xx

I don't work for EA but I like to help fellow gamers 🙂

@thiagodcf Wait…what!? Location of the deceased shows up in the their bio? I play on console and have never seen this before. I’ve had parents pass away recently but can’t find their urn/ tombstone and nothing ever shows up in their bio even though I’m still friends with them and they still are in my contacts. Did this feature come with a EP?
