What's Your Opinion on the Makeup in TS4?

Another one for the hater party here. I don't wear much make-up in real life because it takes too long to apply and I'm horrible at putting it on, but I do like to put it on some of my female Sims. It's so bad in Sims 4, though, that the first time I looked at the options my immediate thought was that it looked like a mid-1990s 14-year-old girl experiencing make-up for the first time was trying to apply it. I've found a couple of options that I can live with, but I'm pretty much stuck with the same make-up for every Sim I make who uses it.

I hate CC, too, so I'm not going that route. Too much risk that something will totally mess up my game and/or computer, and I can't have that. I had a couple things in Sims 3 infect my computer like a virus once, so I'm never doing it again.
