Why I don't like the Reward Event Idea
It struck me this morning why I really don't like the whole idea of this Grim Reaper Reward Event -
It's intrusive.
When I play the Sims, I'm playing my stories. Even if I'm not playing in one of my actually SimLit story saves, I still have a story running in my head for the household I'm playing. This event isn't part of my story. It's something they've shoved at me. It's distracting. It breaks my immersion in my story. Sure, I could spin up a new save to play this scenario but honestly, I'm usually not big on playing scenarios and when I do, I want to do it at my pace and at a time when I'm interested in doing it.
It's unfortunate, because some of the event rewards look fun. I would probably pay $5 for a stuff kit that included them. However, I really do not like the Reward Event format. I don't want this as part of my game.
