Witches stuff pack idea

I imagined this pack from things i felt were lacking on Realm of Magic and would be fun to play.

Objects ideas: Altars, clutters (playable or not), decoration, etc.

Skill: Witchcraft (By crafting magical items) and Occultism (By reading/searching occultism);

Events: Sabbath;

New interactions: Magical bath (bathtub), Clean room's energy (floor), Meditation/Astral Projection (self), Search about Witchcraft/Occultism (Computers), Buy Grimoire (Computer);

New Activities: Create spell jars (altar) cast an intention spell (altar), give offerings (altar), create wands (Woodwork table) and tarot (Activity table).

CAS ideas: Hats, boots, modern and old witches' related clothes

@thornwill really like these ideas! My kind of pack and fits my play style 🧙

Love the boho-goth fashion style, and always good to include something for historical players with your Colonial clothing suggestion. A Witchcraft pack would nicely compliment RoM, Crystal Creations, Paranormal Stuff, along with all the Occult packs. Even Eco Lifestyle with it's candle-making craft could play an important role with Candle Color Magic - burning a candle of a certain color provides a moodlet and can boost social, needs, moods or skills. Example: Green for luck, Blue for communication, White for serenity, etc.

This would be a good pack to introduce Mysticism and return Zodiac Horoscopes and Astrology.

There could be a Blessings and Curses mechanic where Sims craft Amulets, Charms and Talismans to carry in their personal inventory or home protection. An idea for a home protection amulet could be something to Curse Kleptomaniacs that steal from your Sim (and punish the Sharing is Caring NAP). Include Dreamcatchers to protect sleepers. Witch Bells to protect from negative energy, ghosts, curses, and hexes. A Celtic Green Man talisman to protect your garden.

    Blessing Ideas

    • Full for a Day
    • Lucky Finds
    • Good Dreams
    • In Good Spirits - full Fun need for a Day
    • Healthy Growth - mature a plant to harvest

    Curse Ideas

    • Wakeful Sleep
    • Forgetfully Lost
    • Spoilage - food instantly spoils when eaten
    • Drought - all plants need watered
    • Root Rot - all plants die
    • Blight - bug infestation: plants, roaches in For Rent, mites and angry Bees in Seasons
    • Haunted Dreams
    • Illness, Get to Work
    • Weeping Willow - cry all day

    Superstitious Trait
Believes luck and fate can be influenced and changed with charms.

    🤞 Superstition interactions

    • Find a penny, pick it up
    • Black cats, Cats & Dogs
    • Rabbit's foot (attached 🙂, Cottage Living
    • Breaking a mirror
    • Crossing fingers
    • Knocking on wood

If they do decide to create a pack (game, expansion, stuff, or kit) as a companion DLC for Realm of Magic, they should do one for Aliens from Get To Work as there isn't much Alien themed stuff in Get To Work! I mean it would be nice to have more alien clothing options, alien household objects, the ability to construct your own UFO similar to rockets, and maybe the ability to upgrade the Wormhole Portal with Alien tech based upgrade parts so you don't need a maxed out scientist to make trips to Sixam! I also think they should expand Sixam and give it a neighborhood (with customizable lots) where you can explore Sixam's Alien culture! Also maybe make it so that you gain access to Spellcasters or Aliens if you purchase either the companion DLC or the original packs (Realm of Magic & Aliens) that way people who just want Aliens don't need Get To Work (though knowing EA that's probably not going to happen as the idea of companion DLC to them is you have to buy the new DLC along with the original that it is a companion too)! Unless they decide to do an Alien or Spellcaster themed event where you can unlock items like Reaper Rewards though hopefully without the bug that made me miss out on the final week's rewards (I really wanted those Prowling Peepers)!

A Witchcraft pack as a companion to Realm of Magic isn't a bad idea though! Still I imagine people would complain that EA is trying to milk players with content that should have been added with Realm of Magic unless there are people willing to pay for it! I personally don't mind paying for it as I do understand that not everything can be free DLC and somebody has to pay those making patches, DLC content, & patches that come about cause of new DLC and/or mods creating issues that they need time to investigate to figure out what's causing it, as well as EA being EA!

I really liked your ideas for an alien pack, they'd be of great use to this thread: Aliens game pack suggestion

And yeah, i imagine that complaints too but i think the team made clear that spellcasters aren't witches, as witchcraft is a real life practice/craft/art that doesn't include that ludic idea of magic, it's much more spiritual, so it could be a great addition to the spellcaster but it could work by itself like tarot cards, Mediumship and Thanatology skills.

  • I imagined this pack to fill the gaps in Realm of Magic and add more depth to the witchy gameplay experience. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what this pack could include:

    Objects Ideas

    • Altars: Customizable altars for rituals, spellcasting, and offerings.
    • Clutter Items: Playable and decorative items like crystals, herbs, candles, and potion ingredients.
    • Decorations: Witchy wall art, pentagram rugs, moon phase tapestries, and enchanted furniture.
    • Destiny Number Calculator: A mystical object that reveals your Sim’s destiny number, influencing their magical path and abilities.

    Skills

    1. Witchcraft:
      • Level up by crafting magical items like spell jars, wands, and talismans.
      • Unlock new rituals and spells as the skill progresses.
    2. Occultism:
      • Improve by reading occult books, researching on the computer, or meditating.
      • Discover hidden lore and unlock powerful abilities tied to your Sim’s destiny number.

    Events

    • Sabbath:
      • A monthly gathering where witches can meet, share knowledge, and perform group rituals.
      • Special events like “Full Moon Ceremony” or “Destiny Number Revelation” can occur during Sabbaths.

    New Interactions

    • Magical Bath (Bathtub): Cleanse negative energy and recharge magical power.
    • Clean Room’s Energy (Floor): Use a broom or ritual to purify the space.
    • Meditation/Astral Projection (Self): Explore the astral plane and gain insights.
    • Search About Witchcraft/Occultism (Computer): Research new spells and rituals.
    • Buy Grimoire (Computer): Purchase rare spellbooks to expand your magical knowledge.

    New Activities

    • Create Spell Jars (Altar): Craft jars for protection, love, or prosperity.
    • Cast an Intention Spell (Altar): Set intentions for your Sim’s destiny number or life path.
    • Give Offerings (Altar): Offer items to deities or spirits for blessings.
    • Create Wands (Woodwork Table): Design and craft personalized wands.
    • Create Tarot Decks (Activity Table): Make and use tarot cards for divination.

    CAS Ideas

    • Hats: Pointed witch hats, wide-brimmed ceremonial hats.
    • Boots: Lace-up boots, Victorian-style heels.
    • Clothes: Modern witchy outfits, vintage robes, and bohemian styles.
    • Accessories: Crystal necklaces, pentagram rings, and enchanted jewelry.

    Destiny Number Integration

    • Each Sim’s destiny number can be calculated using the new mystical object or through meditation.
    • The destiny number influences their magical affinity, ritual success, and even their relationships with other witches.
    • For example, a Sim with destiny number 7 might excel in astral projection, while a Sim with destiny number 3 could be a natural at crafting spell jars.
