I would love to see this implemented. Definitely would like to craft more furniture and decorative items using the woodworking table, and to have more skills associated with it. I feel like this would greatly deepen generational gameplay with the heirloom ability now being available.
I could even imagine a special tree object that you could harvest to get the wood, which would connect to the gardening skill. Imagine if you could do that: grow your own tree, cut it, and then turn it into an heirloom furniture item?
Maybe they could add the special tree into the heirlooms and make them take really long to reach maturity so they can be cut, like your sim is planting for the next generation or their children.
That would be perfect and so great. It could have a meaningful plant name too, like heirloomwood or something.
