Hi Sims Team,
I’ve been thinking about the world selection screen after Create-a-Sim, and I wanted to share some feedback. At the moment, choosing a world feels quite clinical and disconnected from the rest of the gameplay. While we can travel freely between worlds, the current layout makes each one feel separate rather than part of a larger, living universe.
I think introducing a cohesive world map, showing where each world is geographically in relation to the others, would make the experience much more immersive. Seeing everything laid out together would add personality and context, and make travelling feel intentional rather than just selecting from a menu.
The existing button mechanics could remain the same, but with a redesigned visual interface. For example, a full map with stylised world icons placed in their locations, and hover descriptions similar to the current system. This would maintain functionality while elevating the aesthetic and storytelling element of the game.
I’ve attached an example image (found on TikTok) to illustrate the concept. I truly believe something like this would deepen immersion and make the Sims universe feel more connected and alive.
