1 hour until work message comes up after I’m supposed to start work

My sims are always late for work/school/university because of this. Sometimes my sims will be at school until 8pm and if they leave they get a warning for leaving school early. My sims also sometimes get frozen when I want them to do a task but I’m not sure if it’s related or not.

I don’t use any mods or cc and play on laptop
