Can't purchase anything in retail stores

Just noticed this issue, Attached is a screenshot of my sim trying to purchase a jewel that is set "for sale" and i click it and nothing happens. Please help , i saw some other people mention it on reddit (screenshot attached) stating the issue persists even without mods (so i dont feel inclined to remove them now) Need help fast !
