[Acting career] Is getting the same co-stars in every gig normal?

I don't know where to ask because it doesn't a bug, but what I get isn't the same as other experiences I found on the internet. In my case, every time my actress sim has a gig that has a co-star or ...

Updated

  • I tried to get the movie gig (skipped audition using fame perk) and invited the director and co-stars to my house. Now I have a new co-star who is an existing actor.
  • This new co-star is picked from existing actors randomly after a reload.
  • I still have to wait until the gig starts in the studio to see who will be the co-star.

So, the co-star will start to pick from existing actors when it's a big gig like "film". I will wait to see if it's true or not.
