Oh my gosh. I really hope eventually there is a cheat or something that can get rid of sentiments. It’s my first day actually playing since the update. I have a mom and a TODDLER. That’s all. Her sentiment towards her daughter was adoring, which is cute right. But then I was teaching the daughter how to say please and thank you and the daughter was throwing a fit about it so they got the - friendship thing. AND NOW THIS MOTHER HAS AN INFURIATING RAGE TOWARDS HER DAUGHTER LIKE ????? Help
- @hannahjobe Please read the comment I made earlier in this thread. You don't need a cheat. Just untick the box lifestyles in the gameplay options of the game you are playing.

- @hannahjobe whoa i have a similar issue, the toddler was defiant and then had a hurt sentiment, every time the mom was near the toddler got sad or angry so i kept them away from each other to help it go down and also had the mom "tuck in" when the toddler was sleeping to help make their relationship better (they're like good friends or someth) and finally it went away so i was like !! and had the mom put the toddler in the highchair and the toddler immediately got sad and now the toddler is deeply wounded -- it's so frustrating like how a toddler gonna be deeply wounded smh. i wish there was a cheat to get rid of ones that didn't seem to make sense or that you just didnt want anymore or at least that check box for ppl who have snowy escape
i have the same problem and it's so annoying. my toddler got the hurt sentiment because his dad told him not to plash paint everywhere. wtf? it's developed into a festering grudge now so my toddler throws a fit everytime his dad enters the room
That really sucks @citrusgang I hope you're able to remove the grudge with the cheat earlier in the thread. It's just not realistic and this is supposed to simulate real life?? My kid threw paint around and we hugged it out over making a mess and he never did it again and no sentiments. He did have the angelic trait. His halo must have been tarnished that day though. 😉
- @hannahjobe yeah my toddler got upset so i had the mom comfort her, and she rejected it (as they do) and got a deeply hurt sentiment.

It really bugs me that the game makers are not listening to the players. So many are upset by this sentiment thing and I spend more time fixing things than playing the game happily, like I used to. I hate cheating, but really these sentiments ruin long relationships and cause rifts in once happy families. Anyway, hope the cheat fixes some of your games - it's tiresome putting it all in (make sure you have testing cheats true on first btw) but it's worth it to see your sims happy again. Sadly it can only be done with sims on the same lot, so when the kids move out they are like strangers to their parents. I got one of the kids to give the mother a resident key (we are famous) but she doesn't use it, just stands outside looking dazed. if I see her I get one of her sons to hug her but there's no option to invite her in. *shakes head*
- @hannahjobe Right?! It’s so annoying. My Teen now feels rage every time she sees her dad and the sentiment won’t go away after some time either, it’s been like a sim week and the sentiment is still there and she gets angry every time? It’s also annoying because she will just randomly fight her dad? Same with the boyfriend she just got, now she gets tense every time she sees him. Or the holiday where you can fight your neighbors? It is a “friendly” interaction but she gets a “hurt” sentiment because of it!
- @FlufuLisa This is exactlyI why deleted Neighbourhood brawl, My sims are disappointed after disabling, but at least they're not mad at each other! I really hope the devs are reading and learning from our experiences, how badly this sentiment feature is affecting gameplay. I hate the word "cheat", I prefer "workaround" which I will do until they tone these sentiments down. I don't believe children should be affected by them. After all, parents need to discipline their kids. New relationships shouldn't be affected by a silly incident that happened at a festival to that extent. But for now, page 3 of this thread.
