Agree 100%. Last I checked, no adult I've ever met has been scared of thunderstorms. That fear should go away once a sim hits teen age. It is absolutely ridiculous that this is even a feature. Looking for a mod to solve it for now, but no luck so far.
The worst part is even Stormchaser from the rewards store is "loves storms" and "thrives in terrifying conditions". Like... I love storms from a distance and my partner is pretty indifferent to them. Why are those the only two options? Just because I don't want my Sim to hide under the covers doesn't mean I want them to dance amongst the lightning bolts either.
