Adventure awaits challenge Be Investigative. Only one snoop action for children.

My child Sim can only snoop in trashcans. Bookcases, eavesdropping, beds, computers or mailboxes are not available to complete the challenge. The challenge description says, "Do 4 Snooping activities like Searching Trashing Cans." (Note "like Searching", suggests that is one possible action.) Is this by design or a bug?
