Akalukery x The Sims CAS Make-up

Why are the swatches on the make-up that Simmer Akalukery made for the Sims 4 CAS all wrong? The colors on the display are different than the colors on the Sims lips and some of the swatches have the exact same color on them.

  • @Kenny8195 Unless the CC you mentioned was made that way in the first place (I assume they would be careful to make the swatches/display colors match the actual color on the Sim in both CAS and live play), I would suspect the CC version in your game may not be working properly. It may have broken with a game patch/update, or with the addition of a new pack.

I would try checking with the CC creator (Simmer Akalukery) to see if it's a known issue to them and if they have a patch for it. If they have no patch/update to correct this, you may want to remove the CC until they do have a fix.

  •  It’s not cc. Akalukery (who used to be known as Grimmcookies) did a collaboration with The sims 4 and in that collaboration they made a lipstick. The lipstick from that collaboration is broken for me and has been since it came out. I’ve already tried getting rid of all my cc to see if that was effecting it and it didn’t work. I’ve even deleted and reinstalled the game and that didn’t work.

@Kenny8195 This is what I see in my game (attachment). I haven't had any problems with this CAS item, however, I can understand your frustration at it not working in your game. I hope you get it solved soon! It's one of my favorite lipsticks also. I assume you're on PC also since you mentioned mods. Have you tested a totally vanilla game (one started with no mods at all) instead of a older save where mods were used?

@Kenny8195 Sorry for the delay in response... I didn't see your reply. As @LadyAofPineapple mentioned, testing without the Mods and CC is a great idea, in my opinion. I haven't used that makeup, and I didn't realize it wasn't CC (my bad), but even if it isn't, it's still possible to have a conflict in your game from your Mods/CC that is affecting that particular part of your game. I just wanted to mention that when you test the game without the Mods/CC to see if the issue is gone in a new save, please also make sure you delete the localthumbcache.package file as described in the spoiler tag below:

    Spoiler
Exit the game. Move the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can then test without saving – or in a new vanilla game save – in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue. Then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
