Alices sorrow quest - wont update after reading ann's gravestone

Playing alices sorrow quest and is asking me to find ann. Found her gravestone on a little island and read it - but won't update to say I've found her so I can't continue the quest. Anyone else havin...

I just got this too. I've done the quest before successfully, with a spellcaster, this time it is with a ghost, if that makes a difference. 

(yes, i accidentally killed Johnny Zest.... he died of laughter, doing what he loved. I am working towards reviving him, in the meantime he is haunting the Landgraabs)
