animal enthusiast

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.365.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Star Wars: Journey to Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open up any sims game, play the game, experience bug
What happens when the bug occurs? Receive sad +1 moodlet "Missing Furry Friends (From Animal Enthusiast Trait) when the sim does not have the Animal Enthusiast Trait nor pets
What do you expect to see? Not to receive sad moodlet caused from a trait a sim does not have
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

Please describe the patch or change you made. This bug arrived with the new Growing Together & Infants expansion pack & update

@BobbieShroom Thanks. I'll check if I can find something on the Sim later.

What you can try for now is to apply the trait via cheat (you will need to remove another first), then remove it again and re-apply the original to see if that gets rid of it.

EDIT:

I checked your Sim and I do believe the Sim had the trait at some point as the Sim has a hidden commodity about it.

Try the following cheats (you can choose any of the traits to remove and add back but muser is just short and sweet to write out)

1. traits.remove_trait muser

2. traits.equip_trait AnimalEnthusiast

3. traits.remove_trait AnimalEnthusiast

4. traits.equip_trait muser

That got rid of the commodity. I didn't test if the moodlet came back cause it might take a while to test it out but hopefully this will do.

@BobbieShroom Did the Sim ever have the trait ? Is it an ingame born Sim, one you created yourself from scratch or from the gallery ?

Is it an ingame born Sim, one you created yourself from scratch or from the gallery - from the gallery, gallery traits were: family-oriented, childish, & loyal
Isn't a huge bug but wanted to report incase others were also experiencing this issue after the recent update. May have had something to do with it being a sim from the gallery & possibly having had the animal enthusiast trait.

Do you sill know who created it and what the name was so I can check them out ?

You do have it only on that one Sim, right ?

You do have it only on that one Sim, right: yes, bug only occurred on this sim.
