Try clearing the cache files

Repair the game.
Then try testing by moving your mods folder to another place, and test to see if the issues remain.
I did all that, but they never returned. However, when I replaced all the skill books, toddler books toys etc they did seem to stay. I only played that save a few more weeks after it happened b/c it was at the end of a 100 baby challenge and so I didn't know if it were a new bug or to do with all my 'relatives' :)
