simsplayer818 I’m so glad i’m not the only one, it’s really frustrating and so weird. Sometimes the button will work, sometimes it doesn’t work at all, and other times, like you said, it works after a couple taps. What I found as a good solution for when B doesn’t work at all, is I click the Toggle Cursor button, and that lets go of the item. Unfortunately it also exits you out of the item menu you were in, so you have to go back into it each time. But it’s faster than spam clicking B for 30 minutes, so that’s what i’ve settled for. I don’t know if that will help you at all, but I hope it does especially if your hand is hurting.
Thanks OwlAub10 I've trawled through old reports to see if I could find anything similar and found a solved tech post from 3 years ago with the following tips from EA. I haven't tested this yet myself except for the replacement batteries and updating the controller. It says to powercycle the console too, which I have already done.
🔹Replace the batteries in your controller
🔹Manually power-cycle your controller
🔹Connect your controller to your Xbox using a USB cable
🔹Check for a firmware update on your controller
🔹Restore your controller's button mapping settings to default-
🔹Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
🔹Under Profile & system, select Settings.
🔹Under Devices & connections, select Accessories.
🔹On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select Configure.
🔹Select Restore to default to set the controller back to its original button mapping.
