Followed the steps and still no luck... when you are able, would you be able to instruct me on how to go back to my old tray and save files?

Since it didn't help, you can just delete the new user folder the game made and rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old back to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
