Changed hairstyle on premade sim does not apply to work clothes

As the topic suggests the hairstyle on premade sims does not apply to work clothes.

When I go in to CAS and change the hairstyle of a premade sim to anything but the one it had from the start it still changes back to the original hairstyle when changing to workclothes.
I had Tom Peeping join my household and remade him to look better but when I sent him of to work his usual bald head made a comeback and there is no way to change it.

It is the same if I use a townie. In one save it happened to a child sim when I tried to give him a bath.

I do use mods but it also happens when I play vanilla and across different saves.

Is someone else experiencing the same issue and possibly also know of a way to fix it?

  • MammaKG  Yep, that happens with pretty much any of the premades, particularly the sims from base game and older packs.  Afaik, you can't change it in a vanilla game although I have seen one or two change over time.  The only way I know that allows you to fix the hair is by mod, namely MCCC.  It takes a bit of work and time but it's fairly easy to do.  Using the Dresser module, copy the sim's hair from any outfit.  Then the next time the sim is in their career outfit, paste that hair on the sim.   My experience has been the makeup also sticks too so usually you have to do the copy/paste with that too.  And most of the time you should notice that when the sim's hair/makeup is different on the career outfit, it will be different in the bathing outfit as well.  Changing it on either outfit usually changes it on both.

    Hope this helps.

Awesome! Hope EA comes up with a solution for it though. I have MCCC but did not know that I could do that. Will try next time I log in. Thank you so much!

    Hi CGrant56
I am unsure if you are refering to the "Apply to all outfits" function. In that case the answer is yes.
Will take a look at the other post.

CGrant56 so if I apply the hair to each separate category, one at the time I can avoid the bug and the hair stays the same?

  • MammaKG  Idk.  I've never had it happen that way.  I've only had it happen with some of the premades and that was years ago.  It wasn't all the premades either, just a few too.  I fixed it with MCCC a long time ago.  Tbh, the new bug report about the Apply to all option is probably the same bug and more people are seeing it since the apply to all outfits is new, so they make the connection to the option.  But idk for sure.  I haven't seen where using that option added/changed anything to the career/naked outfits in my game.  Imo, it not that much of a deal since it can easily be fixed with MCCC so I don't worry about it.  I certainly wouldn't avoid using the Apply to All option because of it.

    Hope this helps.
