Biology degree not applied towards Conservationist

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? CatsandDogs, CityLiving, DiscoverUniversity, GetFamous, GettoWork, GetTogether, IslandLiving, Seasons, DineOut, JungleAdventure, OutdoorRetreat, Parenthood, SpaDay, BackyardStuff, BowlingNightStuff, CoolKitchenStuff, KidsRoomStuff, LaundryDayStuff, MyFirstPetStuff, PerfectPatioStuff, ToddlerStuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Attend Foxbury University. Achieve a degree in Biology without Honors. Attempt to get a job in the Conservationist Career
What happens when the bug occurs? BodyBuilder and Botanist Careers have the green symbol showing the Biology degree being applied. When clicking on them, the red letters describing the degree benefits applicable appear. Conservationist career has none of these and we can only get the job at normal level as if without the degree.
What do you expect to see? Conservationist Career should have a green symbol and red text describing the benefits of have a biology degree in that field
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Sim went to Foxbury to get a distinguished degree in Biology in order to later join the Conservationist Career. All online guides to University state that Biology degrees are applicable to BodyBuilder, Botanist, and Conservationist. However, after finally graduating with a Distinguished degree without honors in Biology, we find that this degree is only working on two out of three of the careers and is not applying to the Conservationist career.

I’ve fully updated my game and attempted repairing it.

@bobbyneko I found it through the phone. Just further down the list.

I don't think you need to be in the career first, the degree should give you the advancement.

Does your Sim have the degree showing in the Simology tab ?

@bobbyneko Conrservationist is the base career. You have to look for Marine Biologist further down

Do you get marine biologist offered ? @bobbyneko ?

For me it's offered but no conservationist base career (but that could have to do with the fact that she was in that career before joining Uni). Can't remember the level.

@crinrict Hi, I received no offers or any indication of an advancement in a career until I manually started searching for a job through the phone.

Do you think I would have needed to be part of the career first, then quit for uni, then reapply for the degree to be effective? How was it offered to you?

For me it's probably not there cause she was already higher up before. Moving this to General Discussion.

hello all 🙂 I have a similar issue, could you perhaps help? My sim graduated with a communications degree (grade B), but when getting a job in business, the only offer is as a mailroom technician which I believe is entry level. I checked through the computer and phone, but cannot find a higher entry level. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!
UPDATE:
I found it! Rather than grouped under the business career, "management" branch is now listed as a separate career! I didn't know this. It seems a bit illogical, but it works. 🙂
