Elevator stolen by a klepto, can't replace it

My sim's birthday party included a kleptomaniac guest who was somehow able to steal the elevator off of the apartment. I can't place a new one due to "out of bounds" or "outside of owned property" errors. This is preventing sims from entering and exiting the home. I moved my household out, and since I have the For Rent expansion, put in a resident and they are also unable to access the apartment. Of course my landlord rating is going down but I'm more concerned about getting access again. This happened to an apartment in San Mushiyo or whatever that town is named, if that matters!

  • Please allow players to place elevators in apartment buildings
  • Please disallow kleptomaniacs from being able to steal elevators...
  • While we're at it, can we make it so infants aren't upset about a regal residence falling below its target value? Not sure they understand the concept of property values :')

  • If you can revert back to an earlier save, you should do that. I don't think there's any other way to fix it.

This kind of thing happened when they introduced Eco Lifestyle and the Sharing is Caring NAP let sims steal apartment lobby items, like the trash chute which couldn't be replaced. I haven't heard of anything like that happening for years though. As far as I know, elevators aren't items on a klepto's allowed list of things to consider.

I used moveobjects and freebuild, but found a tip via google to use the sledgehammer to delete the old space that the elevator was on to ensure it was fully out of the game. Another piece I missed is having that room marked as a "shared" space so that it could be fully interacted with.
