Blast from the Past Event: Blocked from Progressing (Crashing/..)

Have you tryed useing the gallery and download someone's room metal collection and get both the needed metals that way? 

I have the same problem my sim got corrupted and I had to restart. I have finished the event up to week 3.

Also I did this after also deleting the accountDataDB.package file if that helps!

This happened to me! I was worried about being able to start week 3 without the time travel component, and I was going to start digging through the debug menu to find the metals and try to remake it, and ended up finding the time traveling component itself. So as long as it says week 2 is completed and you have access to all the rewards, you can literally just do "testingcheats on" > bb.showhiddenobjects and after scrolling for a little (filtering just base game helps a lot) it should come up. I placed it on the lot and was able to complete all of week 3's challenges as normal. 

Assuming all our menus look the same, the debug stuff starts right after the windows in "show all" and the component is just before all the baby food icons. When it places it will look like a package and your sim can click on it and choose add to inventory in live mode.

It happened me too! But gladly, after deleted accountDataDB.package file, issue was solved.

I can't buy through the mail box or anything 

I have the same problem! My game crashed a certain point and now I can't find the metals and can't complete my next task. I tried both starting a new save file and deleting the accountDataDB.package file, but neither worked.

bentosmurf Did you try multiple Sims/Saves ? Do the milk cartons not appear in build mode at all ?

Hello! My game did the same on week 2. Deleted the accountDataDB.package file with no luck. No option to buy/replace on my mailbox, bought another and still no option.  I haven’t been able to dig up the right metals again and cannot buy the milk cartons 🙁

Did you check the mailbox if you can buy the shards ?
