Bride dosen't take grooms last name after wedding ceremony

@bev6usa it's changed manually in CAS. So after the wedding just click on a mirror or dresser and select Change Sim. Then you edit their surname if you want to. Sometimes I change it and sometimes I hyphenate it instead but I wish the surname box was bigger for longer hyphenated surnames.

@bev6usa   Hi!  I'm actually glad it doesn't change automatically.  :-)  For one, I think it could be problematic for same-sex couples.  How does the game decide who takes which name?  Also, I have a friend who took his wife's name because she had no brothers and they wanted to continue her family name.  I sometimes prefer them to keep their names or hyphenate them, like @simsplayer818 suggested. 

It would be great if we could get an option to change names when sims get married.  It could be similar to the pop-up we get that asks for a name when babies are born.  The pop-up could state "would you like your sims to change names?" and show both sims with text boxes where you can change the names if you want or just click "no thanks" or something to keep them.

I agree with you and what you are saying @Jona0703. It makes a lot of sense. I also hyphenate the last names of the females so I know where she was from originally.

@bev6usa   Do you mean @simsplayer818 's suggestion to change the name in CAS manually worked?  If so, would you mind clicking "accept as solution" on their post so that it's visible to other players?  If you meant something else, please let us know.
