Bridgerton Event Bugged and Now Locked Behind Paywall?

This is mostly about the Bridgerton Event but I know this applies to other events as well for other people. 

When the Bridgerton Event happened I had a lot of stuff going on in my life and I was happy to unlock free rewards every day I came in to play, even put reminders on my phone to make sure I logged in. But then the event bugged and as this game is already SO BUGGED I had honestly no hope of it being fixed and lost hope, stopped logging in to check if it was fixed after like 2 days. But then towards the end it got fixed but by that time I was too busy to make up for the days I'd lost.

And now I find out you have to pay to have access to the rewards? Instead of the game giving it out for free because of the major bugs that happened? I find it honestly so greedy and with everything happening with the EA sell it really just feels like the company only cares about money and sees their costumers (that keep the game alive) like little ants or something. 

It was already a controversial thing to have events that if you miss you lose out on a chance to have the content forever and now you have to pay to access the content? This might be common practice it doesn't make it any less greedy.

    The Login Event concluded on July 7 and those free event rewards are no longer available.
