Sims frozen during house party

I was trying to have a house party with 3 sims, when they just froze and cannot stop what they are doing.  As they are in an event i cannot go to the menu of worlds, and i dont want to ruin the event by pressing ctrl alt esc to get out of the situation.

Also the house items cannot be moved or deleted if i try to go to build mode to try and rest the game.

Not keen on the updates so far!! Please sort out the bugs!!
