Catluvsssyou Your Sim can only own one business* at a time. Households can own multiple venues, because each Sim in the household can own their own business - and you can also reassign which lot your business is associated with if you want to move it. I'm not sure whether or not you can run a single business on multiple locations, like a chain - I haven't tried yet.
*Edit: one small business. If you have Cats & Dogs or Get to Work or Dine Out you can still buy those businesses without selling your small business.

Yes but, If i have one sim owning a business then another sim in my household owning a business i cant open both businesses during daytime as i would with one because you have to be on the lot for it to be open, so how would i be able to have 2 sims businesses be open during the day?

  CatluvsssyouYou can only have one business open at a time, even if they're on the same lot. As owner, it's whichever business you choose to open. As a customer, it's whichever you choose to visit.
