Can a ghost sim become a vampire?

I have a playable ghost sim who is currently studying to become a master spellcaster but she also wants to become a vampire. So, is it possible for a dead sim become an undead sim or does she have to learn the dedeadify spell first, resurrect herself and then become turned to the vampire life?

From my understanding yes your Ghost Sim can become an occult. However it is worth keeping in mind that your Sim can only be one occult type at a time.
Adding onto my answer, it is not possible through gameplay to turn your Ghost Sim into a Vampire. However if you enable the CAS full edit cheat, you might be able to change your occult type that way.
