Can I change tags for game objects?

I may be putting this in the wrong category, and if I am I'm sorry and if you will tell me where to post it I will move it to the correct one. :)

I'm trying to organize my game objects not CC items but actual original game items. I want to change their tags. I'm using Sims4Studio and I've tried to change them numerous times but when I go back to the item I've edited after clicking Apply To All Swatches, it's back to the way it was before. 

For further explanation of what I'm trying to do, for example, lets say I want to move the Vip Bucket from the clutter category to the miscellaneous category under surfaces. It works on CC items but I simply can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. 

I've spent almost an hour searching for an answer and everything I find is about CC content.
