Can I switch to the EA app and keep my saves and packs?
Hello, I am trying to switch over to the new EA app and I was just wondering, would I be able to switch over without backing up my saves and still have all my saves and packs in the new app? I dont know if that makes sense but my laptop is old and slow and backing stuff up takes days. To repeat my question maybe in a better way, can I switch over to the EA app while keeping my saves and packs without having to back up my save? Thanks
@BriannaPotato23 Hello! The short answer is yes. I switched to the app at the end of 2022. When I signed into my EA account through the app, all my packs were available. When I launched the game, all my saves were there as well. Some users have had varying experiences with their packs but I believe EA has made a lot of improvements since then.
That being said, if you're at all worried about losing your saves, settings, mods, etc. it is a good idea to regularly create a backup of your The Sims 4 folder. It's also probably a good idea to keep the backup on a thumb drive or external drive, just in case your laptop ever crashes. If you have access to cloud storage like Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, that would work also.
