Can Not Pick Up or take care of Infants after 02.27.2024 patch update Sims 4

I am having the same issue. And I don't have any mods or creative content with my sims game. I have one main saved game and no matter what I do, my sim will not interact with her infant. I have tried reinstalling the game, resetting both the sim and the baby, and any other advice I have found related to the topic and nothing is working. This is my first time playing the infant stage with all the milestones and this is extremely frustrating. I will take any advice possible!
