I eventually found the noxious elderberry fully grown and harvestable in fall, in the general granite falls area.
I don't know if it was there the whole time or that it just spawned/grew.
Here is a screenshot of the exact location. It's a bit behind the smallest rental cabin near the river.
@Heddelviven do your plants look okay? I attach an image of what mine look like as they are affected by this bug:
If they are okay I'd be interested to know do you have Seasons, Cottage Living and Eco Living? It's a bug that's driving me up the wall right now lol. It's lucky I found the harvestables elsewhere or I'd have no herbal remedies.
