I've been having this issue since April and it's really starting to **bleep** me off. It won't let me load my legacy family or any of the backup saves, jumps me back to the map if I try to load into the first family, and infinite loads if I try another household (even with no mods). I can load other saves and create new ones, but my legacy family is the only reason I play. It also happened overnight - worked fine one day, no updates, no new mods, suddenly didn't work the next. I've genuinely tried everything I can think to do and placed way too much hope on the latest update fixing this 🙃 I hope they find a way to fix this ASAP!!
Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

Hi! I just went in and deleted the preexisting LastException files, tried to load the family, then tried again once it jumped me to the map. Once I crashed the game, I refreshed the folder but no new LE files were generated.
Would you be willing to share your save with me ?
If so, please zip your saves folder and upload it somewhere like dropbox, googledrive or OneDrive and PM me the link.
