careers

I really wish we could have a few more career choices as an update. The career pack itself was very glitchy and just too repetitive each time, but if they just added a few more to the game (even if you don’t actually go to work with your sim) it would make it more fun as an adult in the gameplay.

  • @3lnhwq33bdjm I agree, I actually started inventing my own careers using the Register with Ministry of Labour option on the phone then creating a job title or business for my Sims. I got a bit bored with regular careers and had a few bugs with some of the freelancing.

    So I have (deep breath) florists, crafters, collectors, artists, sculptors, explorers, jam makers, farmers, ranchers, bakers, pet rescuers/vets, equestrians, travel writers, archaeologists, nectar makers,  authors, knitters, gardeners, fishing sims, and more without them using the regular career options. Most of the creative or collecting Sims have a retail lot selling what they're making, collecting or growing or just sell direct from their inventory. My gardeners sell from the household inventory as you can make more money that way.

    One of my scientist Sims does both though, she has the full time job plus a retail lot full of collectables and the job came in handy for collecting rare items. It added another dimension to the career and she ended up focusing on collecting (with all promotions and the Professional Slacker reward trait). I found myself wishing the work day went on even longer for once.

    @ReneHollyDesign1 Aww thank you!
    I just love collecting and creator Sims but got so bored with the careers and my Sims arriving home not in the best of moods. I find some of them make a lot more money too and can take care of kids and pets easier.
    Plus now, with Growing Together they get Burnout way too easily at work which doesn't affect a lot of my self employed Sims as much or even at all.
