child ages faster than parent?

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.58.63.1010
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Discover University, Get Famous, Island Living, Season, Cats & Dogs, Get Together, City Living, Get to Work, Parenthood, Vampires, Dine Out, My First Pet Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff, Backyard Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Kids Room Stuff, Perfect Patio, Holiday Celebration Pack.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Raise a child (as a young adult) from birth to young adult and move them out of the house, see if they age faster than you do.
What happens when the bug occurs? My Sim (as a young adult) raised children from birth to young adulthood. Once they reached Young Adult I moved them out of the house. The children sims still often come around the house to visit and after a while my oldest son came over one day and was an Elder, even though the mother has not yet reached the Elder age.
What do you expect to see? Children should not age faster than their parent.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I am playing the 100 Baby Challenge in The Sims 4. My matriarch raises her children from infants until they age up to Young Adult. Once they reach Young Adult I move them out of the house to make room for new babies. Recently my matriarch was about a week or two away from becoming an Elder and one of my oldest children came by to visit and I noticed they had become an Elder! I went to manage worlds to check on their household and sure enough, my first 5 kids are now all Elders. As per the rules of the challenge I have never used any cheats or rewards etc. to age back my matriarch Sim so I don't understand how she is still an Adult but her children are becoming Elders? I have gameplay options set to "normal" aging for both sims in current household and the unplayed sims in the world. Yesterday while playing I was notified that my oldest son had died from old age! Now my whole household is "very sad" for 2 days (which is super frustrating, we have work to do children! lol).

The only thing I can think of is if they somehow age up from Young Adult to Adult as soon as you move them out maybe? Because my matriarch was still a young adult when they moved out so if they automatically become adults when they move out, I suppose that would make sense because they would technically be older than their mother. But why would that happen? Young Adults can live on their own.

What's also strange is I am watching the BuzzFeedMultiplayer 100 Baby Challenge YouTube series and the episode I watched yesterday the matriarch was an elder and her oldest daughter stopped by to visit and was still an adult so... it's not happening to her.

I'm thinking of going in to play as my child sims houses and use the CAS editing cheat to age them all back to where they should be because it makes no sense that they're older than their mother and dying!

Anyway, anyone have any insight into why this happens?

@cardiffgiant02 The big question is, do you still consider this a bug or does stopped aging during pregnancy explain what you see ?

I'm running into a similar issue with Baby Ariel. She has not aged at all. I aged her myself to young adult so I can marry her, but she's been stuck at day one of that age group ever since. I don't do challenges so mine is different in that way at least. She has a toddler and a baby, but she shouldn't still be on day one of young adult anymore. She's stuck. Everyone else ages up. Just not her.
I noticed that this first occurred in a old save, but thought little of it because I rarely played her, but now it's occurring again in my brand new save.

@simgirl542 Baby Ariel doesn't age. She's set to not age. Can you still age her up to the next level manually ?
