cinema
hello. It would be great to update the cinema pack or create another one that can offer a cinema experience to ours sims. Something that we can lead like in the restaurant pack. I'll be glad to go w...
Just so you won't be disappointed with the solutions offered when you try them in your game:
1) Your sims may not sit down in your movie theatre, and you can't stop uncontrolled sims from standing in front of your sim in the audience
2) While watching, someone might walk in and just change the channel
3) Your sim might suddenly decide to stop watching the movie if they finish eating a bowl of snacks because they will walk to the nearest or furthest coffee table to put the plate down.
This is just to.. inform everyone to manage their expectations. :D
(For the reasons mentioned above I eventually just gave up and bulldozed my cinema. But it looked good! Just couldn't get the cinema experience out of it.. )
@siirysiir There are work-arounds for some of that:
1) It can be a bit tricky to keep Sims watching tv for very long, but a Sim movie is only like 2 minutes long in real time. Some of my club members moved around a bit while they watched the movie, some of them sat for the whole thing. I had "watch tv" set as their club activity, so that is what most of them did.
2) If you use the club system, then you have the option to lock the door to your theater room for non-club members. By locking it while the movie is playing, you can prevent townies from coming in and changing the channel. I have an entire lounge downstairs from my theater room, so there is still plenty for the townies to do. Counting my Sim and her club members, I had 8 total Sims in the theater. There would've been more if I had a larger household, so up to 15 Sims all watching a movie is quite a crowd for Sims 4.
3) I don't recall any problems with bowls and plates for snacks. I thought those just disappeared on public lots when Sims finish whatever they are eating? I'll double-check this the next time I play.
