I'm trying to study a historical display at the museum for the event and no matter what I click all I get is view with Emits picture on it. I've tried all my museums. I even took out my mods and repaired the game and still the same thing.

I had the same issue only after several tries at viewing paintings did it regester and was able to move on and start a new task. It won't register if you're looking at one painting right away. Seems like I had to keep viewing painting after painting after painting all while letting the sim finish viewing each painting on his own.
I tried everything in this thread and the only thing that worked was allowing my sim to view a piece of art (for hours on speed 3). When he finally finished suddenly he completed the task
Try repairing the game, I did that, and then have looots of patience and keep "Viewing" different items. I did that and it miraculously worked for me 😉

I am also having this issue. Used the View option on multiple items both paintings and sculptures.

Thank you! Because this worked for me when nothing else did. Must be something to do with needing base game items.
My Sim studied multiple displays after clicking on the interaction, but didn't get points. Also, no archive study option appears on any computer.
