@lilbecci You know the thing that's annoying me the most is that we've had the console feedback thread for ages. We gave suggestions. Then it went quiet. There was nothing from the team to discuss anything. Then this. All anyone had to do was show us the plans and consult on it. I mean, it's our purchase. We've already bought it. If you buy a TV, someone doesn't walk into your home and say "I'm just going to tamper with the remote control for you flower, so channel 1 is now channel 5".
They should have posted exactly what the patch notes stated and asked us to respond to their proposed changes. This should have been done before they tampered with our controls.
Plus it's like I just said on the controller feedback thread, these controls transfer from game to game and have been used for decades for some of us.

@simsplayer818 running it past us would have been great. There are very evidently NO console players on the development team. I'm actually debating contacting someone at playstation and explaining the game was broken by an update and is unplayable and please refund every penny I spent on the game. I own all but one expansion pack. That's ALOT of money to now be unusable
- @lilbecci Seems it's a common practice to just ignore what the players would have to say in advance and they just throw caution to the wind. Getting fed up with that mentality. They need to start giving us actual choices and quit forcing it down our throats. Is it so hard for them to add in the options menu an actual button configuration!?
- @lilbecci it has to be fixed, surely they must address this disastrous update. I get exactly what you mean because I was saying this over the autumn when my game was crashing every few minutes after the HSY patch so I couldn't play. I only got it working in January by wiping my whole game. I lost 200 Sims (I have 54 add-ons but no werewolves or vampires or HSY yet), all my public lots were edited, most townies were edited, it's all gone. I had about 12 retail lots which were all full of hand made crafts, collected items, treasures, harvestables, every plant and collectable in the game and 3 flower shops... gone. Some took 3 weeks to create and make and collect stock. All that work has been lost. There's been no help on the crashing thread at all. I just managed to start my game from scratch and now this. I've got all my Sims, lots and stores to recreate with this nightmare controller situation. It's going to drive me up the wall.
