Constantly Tense

My two sims (who are in a relationship with each other) both have the jealous-trait, they live together in an apartment that needs TLC in the spice district (the one with the balcony). I get a feeling that something if off because 1) as soon as one of them goes to work or something they both get tense "feeling insecure", a moodlet that also stays when they get back home until they go to sleep. 2) the TLC that is needed in their apartment is constant. The drain in the hallway smells constantly and I can't click on it (to call the landlord or fix it), the rats, roaches and urky carpet are there several times per day.

This results in my sims being "Very Tense" more or less all the time when inside their apartment, so they cant work on skills or study for university. Maybe it is supposed to be total misery in that apartment?

I have MCCC, University costs more and faster homework in game, all of them should be up to date with the latest patch.

"I have MCCC, University costs more and faster homework in game, all of them should be up to date with the latest patch. " - This line is unnecessary. As for the "Jealous" trait; it's a human error to be jealous, so I wonder why your even playing with it, but then who chooses to be clumsy either ;P

  • Well neither of them are first-generation sims so I have not chosen their traits, it just seems strange that they would be tense the whole day even though they live together. I think that mods are good to mention in these respects.

oh! you were talking about mods; I thought you were making a reference to a rather vague flex. Anyway, it seems to me that this is well within the "expected" behavior for the game; it emulates life yes? But at it's core it's also a game, so the things you can't control directly (like the TLC de-buff) are intended to make life difficult. For reference - you've got 3 things /intentionally/ working against you: 2 Sims that are jealous and 1 TLC de-buff; it's quite the challenge you've selected, by accident or design. I'd say the tension is well within permissible responses. Also, for your information, jealousy usually doesn't end when you go to sleep in real life so count your blessings.
