I’m pretty new to the game and I’m trying to add parents to a household via the genetics option. I can add a father but not a mother and the other sibling relationships are messed up too.
I’ve tried going in to cheat mode but although some relationships pop up parent/child are not amongst them. Can anyone help?

@IanS74 You should be able to add mother/father/sibling/child etc through the genetic option. I am confused as to why it is not letting you or it shouldn't be working. It could be just randomly generating a father automatically, instead of a mother or other relation. You have to manually choose the relationship and gender for the sim in the same option or box that it brought up when you click on 'genetics.' So for example, when it generates the father you can choose the gender, relationship etc in the very same box, before you click the check mark to confirm the sim. Maybe you forgot or don't know you can manually change relationships, genders, age etc after it randomly generates a random sim for you? Then you can confirm relationships under the relationship setting on the main sim customization thing in CAS. You could try googling it for maybe more direct steps to follow or visuals(pictures) if you are still confused.
Sorry - I don't think I explained myself very well.
I've created a Father for one of my Sims but he is showing up as the Grandfather of my original Sims' brother and sister - when he should obviously be their father as well! And there doesn't seem to be a way to change this. The options are greyed out and it says I can't edit the relationships to correct it.
