@logically_mental Is the sim who is trying to make the suit in the engineering career? As far as I can tell in my own game, the sim has to be at the top of the engineering career to get the options to craft the suit and helmet.

I think @CGrant56 is correct. I checked this at Carl's Sims 4 Guide. The guide for the Engineering career shows that the ExoMech Suit is unlocked at level 8 of the Mechanical Engineer branch and the ExoMech Helmet is unlocked at level 9. I guess that you lose these abilities if you change careers, just like many other career-related abilities.
