Could you post a screenshot of the inside of your saves folder as well as the screenshot path from inside the game ?
crinrict thanks
I have attached screen shots.
New game saves from yesterday are in this save folder - so it's defo the right place.
Old saves are in this folder too (now I've put them back in). Their modified date has changed because I moved them around. But they were as old as 2014 !

According to your saves folder you should see 3 different save files in your game. The rest of the files are backups. You do seem to have all 3.
Should you have more ?

The ones which have .ver1 .ver0 .ver2 etc etc are not loading into the game. I have attached a screenshot here of the temp folder I put them in to keep them safe before I did the update. Those files are my old games all the way back to 2014. The date is misleading because when I moved them into another temp folder to keep them safe, the date changed and now looks like they're new games.
The only games loading into the game are the new saves from yesterday and the day before, which I did as test. You can see those don't have the .ver0 .ver1 .ver2 etc in my original screenshot (in previous msg)
Hope that makes sense

These are auto-backups. The game doesn't recognize them. If you saved those new files 6 times, that's what you get. Since those ver version only slightly vary in size, I don't think those are your old files.
If you want to make these active, you need to remove the .verX and give it a different number.
Also that last pic is on your desktop. The game doesn't recognize those either.
Save files need to be under this path: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves either locally or on your oneDrive
