DLC sims 4 not downloading on Mac

So I used to play my sims 4 game on windows and decided to change to Mac instead, mind you I have purchased the base game and all my DLC through steam and on Mac you are not able to download the game through steam. I got in contact with EA help and they helped me with the base game only, so now I can play the base game through origin instead of steam which I brought it from and the game name changed to (the sims 4 collectors edition), but the problem is the DLC that I purchased I can’t download them, and when I go to origin>My game library > more> Expansion packs and try to download them it says “you have this content available through steam. Download it on steam to add it to your game”. And as you might know for this specific game you can’t download it through steam. Side note the base game is running smoothly on my Mac except for the DLC that is not showing, but it shows that I have purchased them. I tried uninstalling origin and installing it again for Mac, but they still did not show up. So I was hoping someone might have an answer for my problem.

  • @IDLDLDLDLD  When you buy content through Steam, you need to install it through Steam, not through Origin.  So unless you can convince EA customer support to add the packs to your Origin account like they did for the base game, you unfortunately won't be able to install those packs on your Mac.

@puzzlezaddict Hi thanks for the reply. The problem is I can’t get in contact with them and when I send them an email to [edit: email address removed] it says that there mailbox is full and it fails to send the mail. I can’t even call them since I am from Sweden too, even the chat icon is not showing up anymore like it did before. Do you happen to know a way to get in touch with them that would be very helpful.

    Have a nice day.

@IDLDLDLDLD  When you're filling out the help request form, try changing the location listed in the browser window (upper right corner) to U.S. or U.K.  You should see a live chat option for almost any problem at almost any time of day, no email or phone call necessary.

  • I don't have a mac, but there might be something to consider, there is a way to get steam games converted to Origin via a steam code. I did this with the Dragon age game was on sale on steam, but I wanted to activate it on um origin, so I'd have a copy in both places. Now, this is for PC, but it might work on mac, so see if you can find info regarding activation code if you bought your games on steam it might let you put it into origin, even on a mac, but I'm not 100% sure, but it's an idea I had.

@sailornaru either redeem product code, or activate non-origin game or something like that, this is where you'd put your activation code, if this helps any.
