@107531kop I haven't used this cheat so I had to look it up. I'm wondering if possibly the cheat you're currently using is not working properly anymore (if it was before - I don't know)... but the one that I found works this way:
- Shift-click on the household mailbox.
- There you will then see an option to "Disable Household Needs Decay".
If you like you can try using that cheat for the needs decay and see if it works for you. Let us know how it goes!

@107531kop Thank you for the additional details and for confirming. I just enabled that cheat via the mailbox and then had a sim drink water, kava, and coffee. In each case it did bring the need level down a bit, but then it did not continue to go down unless she drank something else, then it went down a bit more. All other and continuing needs decay blocks seemed in place. Is this what you also see?
I was just chatting with a hero that tested the cheat when done on the individual sim (rather than the mailbox/household) and she says that when done this way the entire cheat works properly. Another workaround is to just cheat the need back up.
If you're noticing a lot of water drinking you may want to 'me too' and add information to this bug report: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Excessive-Water-Juice-Drinking-Patch-1-58-63-Edition/m-p/8452362
We hope this helps! 🙌

- 6 years ago@SheriGR In my save game also when doing the need-cheat on the individual member it breaks the cheat so to say. And indeed it is only the bladder-need that decays and the rest stays up...
I too had trouble with my sims drinking a lot of water, but I simply removed the fridge and that slowed it down to perhaps 1 or 2x drinking water per sim-day for the entire 3-sim household I have in that save game. I have also commented to the other thread.- SheriGR6 years agoHero
@107531kop They don't need a fridge for water - just a sink. I did chat with someone who took out all the sinks to stop water drinking. In my test Kava and coffee also took it down with the cheat enabled. I assume bar-drinks would also, since I heard before that they bring the bladder bar down even with the 'bladder-of-steel' reward. So if the cheat is still getting disabled by drinking liquids for you even when applied to each sim individually, I guess you could expand your workaround to:
- Cheat the need full again
- Remove all sinks
- Remove all coffee/espresso machines/tea
- Remove all bars and globe bars
- Get the 'steel bladder' reward
- Check the content of your fridge to see if there are glasses of drinks there (though they should still be able to get milk or juice there - but in my experience they do far less of this autonomously than bar drinks, water & coffee)
Those things should discourage &/or reduce the frequency of drinking, since they only need food. If you remove the fridge, how are your sims eating?
