EA saying "failed to launch game" and other issues
So about 3 days ago, my Sims 4 was working just fine.. until I updated it. After it updated, I didn't open it for bit because I decided to look for new cc. So when I finished doing that I decided to open the game, but was met with these messages by the EA app;
"Failed to launch game, come back and try again later..." (it was close to that) and on the top of my account there was also a message saying " some features are not available because the EA app has launched from another application" which makes no sense since I ONLY play the Sims 4 on my laptop. I really wished I had taken pictures so this would have been easier to explain.
I would go back and take one right now, but I tried to delete and redownload EA and the installer keeps saying "The EA app is already installed" after I downloaded an entire app to literally delete it. it won't let me install it, and I need it to run the sims 4 and see if it works since I had to delete it and redownload it. and when I DO press any of the options it gives me, which are "Launch the EA app" or "repair" it say it can't find the app.
On top of that,
- I've restarted the EA app
- I've restarted my computer
- went through all my mods and got rid of conflicted ones
- checked both the Sims and EA's compatibility
- Running them both as administrator
- clearing EA's cache
- deleting both EA and Sims 4
- clearing Steam's cache
Nothing has worked and I don't what to do, and anything I've seen online that is actually meant to help was posted 3 years ago or more. Help.
