Eating
I would really like it if we could pick which leftovers we wanted to eat almost like sims 3. So the sims don't just keep grabbing cakes or pies or whatnot as breakfast that isn't even related to a breakfast.

@silkydreamer26 Interesting idea! I like to play large and busy households and having them autonomously or by command eat leftovers is my default way to feed them. Works fantastic!
I love the idea of having an option of choosing which leftover, but to me that idea may be counter-productive if another Sim were to beat them to the leftover you assigned... So... as long as there was a provision in the coding that a portion of the meal you chose for them was 'put on hold/locked into' that Sim so no one else grabs the last portion first, I would be fully on board with that idea. Adding my 'XP' and 'Me Too'! 🙌
@silkydreamer26 You can! I had to do this in my mixed occult household so the silly mermaid would stop grabbing plasma fruit salad and fizzy plasma. 😉 You have to click through all the fridge-related options and choose Open, and then you can click on the specific dish and choose "grab a serving."
Granted, it's not as convenient as just saying "get leftovers..."
ya there is that but this was an option like of sims3 when you clicked onto the dialog of leftovers and it has all the choices of the leftovers you had cooked to take one instead of going through all the dialog just to open the fridge and than manually take them out i don't know if that make sense sometimes i don't lol.
and i also miss the school bus that would constantly pick up my sims kids and take them to there school instead of walk.
@silkydreamer26Good point! Thanks for bringing that up. That's what I used to do, but now I'm lazy and just choose 'Get Leftovers' or they do so autonomously. One down-side to them grabbing a dessert, piece of produce, snacks, a piece of bread, etc., is that those items don't entirely fill them in the way a serving of prepared dishes can. So they may need to 'feed' again sooner than you like. 🤔
yep exactly Sheri i hate it when they grab one slice of pie when i click on the leftovers it gets me mad and probably alot of others but they just don't voice it.
oh and thinking about something this is 2021 and all our real kids that go to school have laptops that they can do there homework on. Why can't our child sims do there homework on the computer? like they used to.
Honestly, I'd be happy if we could just have an option to bar them from autonomously grabbing certain items (like cakes).
I got so annoyed with my main household that I have put the refrigerator behind a locked door so that no one can autonomously grab food from it.
I have a mod that allows me to use milk jugs, canisters, etc. for storing ingredients outside of the fridge, so my main sim can still cook and he has the fresh chef trait, which means his food doesn't spoil, so I've begun leaving out food that I'm happy for them grab autonomously and then I drag stuff to and from the fridge myself.
@silkydreamer26 Yes, I agree with that also. It would be a great update to let the children and teens do homework on the computer. They can do so in college with Discover University, and it would make a lot of sense! 🙌
ya but the thing about that they wouldn't be grabbing the cakes and cookies and whatnot but they still could be grabbing like say scrambled eggs for breakfast or a ham sandwich for breakfast unless you would change them everytime morning lunch and dinner in your sims game is and that can really get annoying. and with the way i was saying it you could just click on it and than be done. But than don't even know if half of the stuff i am suggesting would even be doable.
