@sofiasbuilds Hello, I hope I can help you somewhat resolve your issue!
As you said, some lot traits are assigned to certain lots and they cannot be changed. I'm pretty sure that that's what's happened here.
However, I'm not 100% sure, as this is something only the game designers would really know for sure.

Thank you for trying to help. I know that this is the case with some lots but I am 100% that this is not the case here - this lot trait came with the Eco Lifestyle expansion pack and I’m having the problem with the Get Famous expansion pack world. It also keeps adding itself to new lots as soon as I play them which I know for sure isn’t supposed to be the case. I really appreciate you talking the time to read my bug report and having a think about what might be wrong though! 🙂
